When does cyber liability stop being optional?
A decade ago, cyber liability was bought by Fortune 500s and almost no one else. Today it's part of the baseline stack for most businesses with a website, an email address, or a customer database. The threshold is real — and most KC small businesses are on the wrong side of it.

Notification + forensics costs are covered
First-party costs — IT forensics, customer notification, credit monitoring, regulatory filings — are typically the largest line on a cyber claim. Cyber policies pay these directly.
Ransomware payments and negotiation are covered
Most modern forms cover the ransom, the negotiator, the bitcoin broker, and the OFAC compliance work. Without cyber, all of that is on you.
Business interruption from a cyber event pays
Standard property BI requires physical damage. Cyber BI triggers on a network event — the form most small businesses don't realize they're missing.
Defense and regulatory penalties are inside the limit
GDPR, CCPA, and state AG investigations come with legal defense costs and potential fines. Cyber forms cover defense; many cover the fines where insurable by law.
Or you're not here if ,
- Cash-only operation, no website, no email list, no employee email accounts
- All payments processed through a third-party (Stripe, Square, Toast) with no card data on your systems
- No customer data retained beyond a single transaction — pure walk-up retail
