Accessibility statement

PolicyNest KC is committed to making our digital experience usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. This site is designed with accessibility considered as part of the build, not as an afterthought.

Our standard

We aim to conform with the [Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA](https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG22/quickref/?currentsidebar=%23col_overview&levels=aaa). That includes keyboard accessibility, semantic HTML, color contrast, and screen-reader compatibility.

What we've done

• Semantic HTML across the site — headings, landmarks, lists, and ARIA where appropriate
• Keyboard navigation throughout, with visible focus states
• Color contrast meeting WCAG AA on body text, controls, and links
• Modal dialogs include focus trapping, Escape-to-close, and accessible labels
• Alt text on meaningful images; decorative images marked aria-hidden
• Form fields with explicit labels and error messages

Known limitations

• Some third-party embeds (analytics, Cal.com booking, chat widget) are not fully under our control. We monitor their accessibility and will replace them if they regress.
• PDF documents (dec page reading guides) are text-based but may not be fully tagged for screen readers. We also offer plain-English summaries on each library page so the same content is accessible without the PDF.

Reporting an issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please tell us so we can fix it. Email service@policynestkc.com with "Accessibility" in the subject, or call (913) 408-7280. We aim to respond within two business days and have a fix in motion within two weeks for any issue we can address.
